Efficient Screw Conveyor for Wet and Dry Material Transfer
Screw conveyor is a very useful conveying equipment used to transfer wet materials or dry materials. Screw conveyor can be placed horizontally or slightly inclined to achieve the target conveying function. However, when the inclined angle increases, the conveying capacity will be reduced rapidly. Proper design with suitable capacity is very important to select the correct size screw conveyor.
Screw conveyor is composed of a driven motor, gearbox reducer, shaft with screw flight, tubes, and bearings. Normally, we recommend sourcing the bearings for emergency backup. Other parts are not easy to wear in a short time.
Screw conveyors have wide application for different conveying materials. They can be used to convey drilling cuttings, drilling waste, slurry waste, food waste, animal waste, municipal solid waste, chemicals, grains, etc. Normally we adopt the wear-resistant 16Mn (manganese) for conveyor impellers and carbon steel for the conveyor tube. When dealing with corrosive materials, stainless steel impeller and tube are available as options. KES Separation can also adopt 3 layers of marine paint to achieve better anti-corrosion performance.
